The most obvious benefit of better parental engagement is that it improves the relationship between parents and schools. A better flow of information, a clearer two-way channel of communication, all help to take away misunderstanding and frustration: "Look at this report! Why didn't we know earlier that things were going so wrong? I'll be down there tomorrow..."
